Who We Are:

Here at Outdoor Connection & Counseling, we strive to provide client-centered therapeutic approaches to support you in finding the change you seek by combining the healing power of the outdoors with expert counseling practice to ignite change.

Some may find traditional therapy an unengaging and unappealing avenue to seek growth and healing.

That is why we at OCC take an active approach to therapy. We believe that nature, adventure, and physical activity are great ways to provide significant support in nourishing a positive environment for growth!

Who We Serve:

We provide traditional office therapy and outdoor therapeutic sessions to individuals, couples, and families. We also offer clinical supervision for Non Licensed Social Workers (BSW, MSW) and those seeking supervision to obtain the Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist credential (CCAT). This practice is LGBTQ allied.

What Is Adventure Therapy?

It is the prescriptive use of adventure experiences provided by mental health professionals, often conducted in natural settings that kinesthetically engage clients on cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels. Adventure therapy is an active alternative to traditional therapy. Overcoming challenges and being immersed in new environments can positively impact the growing process and promote healing in a way that feels rewarding.

Testimonials

“Tuesdey knows how to make me feel comfortable no matter what headspace I am in. She is always willing to listen and understand my feelings and help me translate that to others especially my parents. ” — N.D.

“Tuesdey is a perky, warm, experienced therapist that “gets” teenagers (and perhaps other age groups I suspect!). She took my son on a walk rather than talking in an office. She wont break patient confidentiality, but she will give parents guidance on what is going on with their child and tips on how to be the most helpful without that battle. I think that every parent with a teenager could benefit from her training and deep experience!” — Sandy S.
